Technology (CAMARTEC), The Small Industries Development Organization
(SIDO), The Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA) and The
Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy (MNMA), Public Service Recruitment
Secretariat invites qualified Tanzanians to fill 51 vacant posts in the
above Public Institutions.

CAMARTEC is a Parastatal Organization under the Ministry of Industry and Trade established by an Act of the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania in November 1981 with objectives of undertaking applied research and development promotion, adaptation and dissemination of appropriate technologies in the field of agricultural mechanization and rural technologies with the aim of improving the standard of living and reducing poverty.

Read blue prints, schematics, diagrams and technical orders to determine methods and sequence of assembly.
Assist in troubleshooting of machines, implements and equipments.
Operate equipment and machinery requiring higher skills.
Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
Supervise, guide and train other technicians.
Support Research Technologist in the execution of their duties.
Arrange regular servicing of machinery and equipment and timely repair of defective ones.
Supervise the installation and use, repair and maintenance of workshop machinery, field testing and laboratory equipments.
Assist in performing quality control procedures and functional checks of
workshop, field testing and laboratory equipment in order to establish
daily status of operation of equipments.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisors.

Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical Engineeringfrom a recognized institution.
Working experience of five (5) years from a firm doing activities similar to those done by the Centre.

Projects proposal writing and soliciting for funding. Use and control
of project inputs, compilation of results and preparation of reports.

Liaise with a NGO’s, CBO’s and regional leaders on how to integrate CAMARTEC technologies into regional projects.

Bachelor of Scienceeither in Agriculture, Mechanical, Civil, Process,
Electronics, Electrical or Environmental Engineering from recognized
higher learning institutions withseven (7) years of working experience.
Or
Master of Science either in Agriculture, Mechanical, Civil, Process,
Electronics, Electrical or Environmental Engineering from recognized
higher learning institutions with 5 years of working experience.

Carries out minor adjustments and repairs and reports any major irregularities for repair by mechanics.
